Clarity Stamp Challenge 28  – Boys, Boys, Boys

For this Challenge I thought I would make a 50th Birthday card for my nephew.

Items used.

Clarity Stamp Jazzman and musical note stamps.  Some music themed paper upon which to stamp the Jazzman and mirri card to mount it on.

White base card and a price of white card on which I sprayed inks and let them run down the card. When dry I applied some distress inks – sapphire blue and squeezed lemonade and then put it through my Grand Calibur in a distress embossing folder. I lightly touch chipped sapphire over the raised areas and edged the card in black. I then stamped on some muscial notes.

I stamped the Jazzman on the music themed background paper from my stash, applied some of the same distress inks and edged it in black. I sprayed it with spray & sparkle silver spray and then mounted it on to the mirri card.

I die cut the 50 and a circle and then used my Brother p-touch to print out the words And All That Jazz! which I mounted on to black card.

Hope you like it and thank you for visiting my site.

A pocketful of posies

Phew just finished my entry for IndigoBlu Challenge 28  A pocketful of poses.  Just couldn’t get round to starting the project, just too much going on.

I used the new dinkie peony, black archival ink, masking fluid, cosmic shimmer vintage egyptian blue mist, piece of ribbon, Martha Stewart punch for the border and black base card. Happy birthday printed off my p-touch machine.

Wee folk

Hi everyone.  Today I am posting a card I have made for my niece for her 10th birthday.  This was a good opportunity to use my recently acquired wee folk.

I would like to enter this card into the Clarity Stamp challenge ‘Wee Folk’.

Taking some inspiration from one of Barbara’s demonstrations, here is what I did.

I took a blue base card and applied worn lipstick and squeezed lemonade distress ink, then sprinkled with water.  Using Jo’s bubbles stencil I added some moonlight white to create a bokeh effect. I also shaded these lightly with a spectrum noir pencil. I stamped the small grasses stamp at the bottom of the card. I stamped and cut out the wee folk and mushroom and also die-cut some branches.  Using a piece of white card I die cut an opening and applied some colour with the same distress inks.  Using the moonlight white and the bubbles stencil I created the same bokeh effect.  I stamped some stars around the card and using chipped sapphire I coloured all the edges.

After placing the week folk and branches etc. I placed the die-cut panel onto the card.  I then made some bunting from tiny triangles of white card, wrote happy birthday on them and stuck them to some blue bakers twine and attched them to the card front. I then added the number ten to the bottom of the card.

Items used:

Wee folk, small grasses stamp, Jo’s bubbles stencil, worn lipstick, squeezed lemonade and chipped sapphire distress inks, moonlight white brilliance ink pad.
