I would like to enter this birthday card in the Clarity Stamp Challenge 24 Floral.

Resources used.

Water colour card, Clarity Stamp Petal stamp and double bubble and leafy swirl stencils. Starburst stain ‘Jack in the pulpit Teal’, white gesso and gold acrylic paint.

I put masking tape around the watercolour card to keep a white edge and painted over the starburst stain, then spritzed with water  and painted over lightly with white gesso. I spritzed again and laid cling film over and moved it around.  I removed the cling firm before paint was dry and in doing so it removed some of the gesso to give  a little texture. I stamped the petal stamp for form a large flower and when dry placed the leafy swirl stencil and outlined the stalk and leaves which I painted with white gesso. I made drips from white gesso and a metallic white paint, then I placed lines of gold acrylic paint with the edge of a credit card and when dry used the double bubble stencil to add bubbles in white and gold. I printed out Happy Birthday with my Brother P-touch machine and placed these on the card. I scuffed with edges of the water-colour card, drew random lines around the edge and mounted this on gold mirror card before adhering to a white card base.

  4. I love your colour choice Jan and the bakground is great. I love how overlapping the petal stamp creates the smaller petals in the middle of the flower. Thanks for entering the Clarity challenge, and good luck. Xxx

  5. So many different techniques Jan. I have a labeller and have never thought of using it on my cards, thanks for the idea. Good luck in the challenges. x
