Hi – this is my first post for about a month what with holidays and my son moving house. Thought I would do a wall hanging as a gift and chose stamps from IndigoBlu – ‘Wild Flowers’ , ‘Square Peg Round Hole, ‘Take Flight’ and the quotation from ‘Poppy Meadow’.
I used an oval shaped piece of MDF and covered it in some blue paper and then inked it up with peeled paint and faded jeans distress inks, spritzed with water and then dabbed with kitchen roll. I covered the Square Peg Round Hole stamp with flitterglu and applied gilding flakes for a lovely finish. I stamped the Wild Flowers across the bottom with Archival black ink and coloured the flowers with a red brushmarker. I highlighted various element with a white pen. I stamped the sentiment and added a butterfly. I stamped the Take Flight bird and coloured with promarkers, cut it out placed it over the ‘sun’. Finally I edged the plaque with gold paint and added a cream coloured cord for hanging.
Hope you like it Janet ……
